Base is a long established surf lodge ideally situated overlooking Fistral beach, the UK's finest surf break! The lodge is also a short easy walk to Newquay's centre with its buzzing nightlife, restaurants and shops.

We have built a strong reputation for quality, comfort, affordability and, above all, fantastic vibes in a unique, chilled-out atmosphere.

The lodge boasts comfortable dorm-style accommodation in rooms of 2, 4, 5 or 6 with crisp cotton linen supplied. Most rooms have panoramic views of Fistral or Newquay Bay beaches.

We offer bed and continental breakfast from as little as £12 pppn, a cool, med-style basement lounge, free hot drinks, secure surfboard storage, and a sun-trap, BBQ patio set in tropical palms.

Summer 2010 / Surfing Lessons

We operate a 4 night minimum stay during peak season.  This is between June 25 - Aug 26. 

The cost is £25 per person per night or £165 for 7 nights  and includes a continental breakfast. 

The August bank holday weekends are a 3 night minimum stay at £75 per person.  Some dates have reduced rates so please check the 'offers' tab.

Large Groups..

Base is ideally located opposite Fistral beach from where several companies run surfing lessons.

We have close links to a few so we can book lessons for you. Just give us a ring or email your dates and size of group and we’ll do the rest!

Lessons cost approximately £25 for half a day with all equipment provided. We will offer special surf ‘n’ stay weekend deals in spring and autumn.

If you don't fancy a lesson or just want a bit of fun   you can easily hire the gear yourself from as little as £5 per item per day.  There are two shops within 50 metres of Base that can help you with that.

Base surf lodge welcomes large groups of people including Stag and Hen parties at all times of the year except in the Peak Season.

We only accept over 16's but in groups no larger than 8 individuals from any one area in peak season. 

The bank holiday weekend in August is available for Stag and Hen parties subject to availability and where it  falls on the calender in that year.

We can also offer advice on where to eat, drink and party as well as local attractions such as go-karts, surfing, paintball and golf.
